WASHINGTON, Dec 5 (APP): “The list of candidates to be the United
States” next Secretary of State continues to expand with two more named added, as transition team for President-elect Donald Trump expedites efforts to name the cabinet ahead of the administration change.

Trump will take over as America’s president on Jan. 20, after winning
the most stunning election in the US history.

Trump’s senior adviser Kellyanne Conway confirmed during a press
briefing on Sunday confirmed that the list of candidates has been expanded.

The reported quoting unnamed familiar sources with the transition team
said two new candidates are retired Adm. James G. Stavridis and Rex W, Tillerson, the CEO of ExxonMobil.

Four candidates already been identified by the transition team to be
considered for the coveted post are former Massachusetts Gov.

Mitt Romney, former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Tennessee Sen.

Bob Corker and former CIA Director David Petraeus.

“That list is expanding because at the moment, there are no “there
is not a finite list of finalists only because he will interview with additional candidates early this week,” Conway was quoted as saying by the report.

The choice of the next Secretary of State has shown a visible fissure
within the Trump’ transition team, which all started after former Republican candidate Romney, who has been an outspoken critic of Trump, met the President-elect. Trump later confirmed that he is a strong candidate for the post.

Many members of Trump’s transition is opposed to Romney, saying the
man who so furiously opposed Trump during the election campaign should not be on the list.

Former New York Mayor Giuliani, who was once considered a strong candidate, has been bogged down by reports of foreign business entanglements.

Some Senators have supported Crocker, the Chairman of the Senate’s
Foreign Relations committee, but Trump hasn’t as vocal about him.

The Senator is a known opponent of Pakistan.
