KARACHI, Jun 20 (APP):Two ships, Groton and Maria Topic carrying Container and Coal, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal and Pakistan International Bulk Terminal respectively on Thursday, Meanwhile two more ships, Nave Ceilo and Yashar with Gas oil andLPG are also arrive at outer anchorage on same day.
A total of eight ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them four ships, Groton, Lebrethah, Damsgaard and SC Ocean LXI are left the port on today morning, while three more ships, Xin Lian Chang, M Bright and Falkonera are expected to sail on Friday afternoon.
Cargo volume of 112,709 tonnes, comprising 97,911 tonnes imports cargo and 14,798 export cargo carried in 1,681 Containers (1,097 TEUs Imports & 584 TEUs Export) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.
There are ten ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them four ships, High Leader, Lyric Harmony, Twerk and Nepta & two more ships, Ejnan and Xin Lian Chang carrying Palm oil, Canola, Mogas, LPG, LNG and Container are expected to take berths at LCT, FAP, FOTCO, EVTL, PGPCL and QICT respectively on Friday, while three more container ships, X-Press Salween, MSC Mediterranean and MSC Falcon-III are due to arrive at outer anchorage on Saturday.
