PESHAWAR, Nov 25 (APP): The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhgra on Friday said the reforms in FATA would be introduced in accordance with the aspirations of the respective people and to start formal implementation there upon after formal approval by the parliament.
He was talking during a meeting with the Ambassador of European Union, Jean Francois Cautain and the Managing Director of Asia Pacific EEAS at Governor’s House, Peshawar during a meeting here. Additional Chief Secretary FATA Fida Wazir was also present on this occasion.
The Governor said that the Afghan refugees are our brethren and there is no restriction on their coming to Pakistan with valid documents. “We are also assisting in ensuring their repatriation in respectable way.
Meanwhile addressing the 39th Annual Conference of Pathologists and the 4th Meeting of the Pathology society as the chief guest at the Khyber Medical University ; the Governor said that the Pakistani doctors are second to none from capability point of view and wished that they should maintain this honour.
The Vice Chancellor of Khyber Medical University, Prof Dr. Hafeezullah
and the President of the Pakistan Association of Pathologists, Prof Dr. Farida Naseer were also present on this occasion besides a large number of delegates both from within the country and abroad.
Highlighting the importance of the conference, the Governor said that
new advancements are taking place across the world in the health sector wherein the role of the Pakistani researchers is also very important.
Later on, the Governor formally inaugurated an exhibition wherein
products of various companies especially the latest devices, equipments and medicines were exhibited.
The Governor went round the stalls and took keen interest in the items
exhibited therein. He also exchanged views with representatives of various companies. Later on the
Vice Chancellor of the University thanked the Governor for gracing the occasion by his presence.
