KARACHI, Oct 23 (APP): A reception was hosted at the Pakistan
National Museum here Sunday in honour of the participants of the
China Pakistan Friendship Car Rally.

It was held under the auspices of the Sindh Department of Culture
and Tourism.

The 52 members of the Car Rally from Xinjiang, northwest of
China, had arrived in Karachi on Saturday.

The participants of the Rally had entered Pakistan from Khunjrab
on October 14.

The Rally was held to highlight the significance of the China
Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

At the luncheon reception here on Sunday, artists including the
Sindhi folk singer, Taj Mastani, presented folk songs.
The Chinese members of the Rally also danced to the tune of folk
song “ Ho Jamalo”.

Sindh Minister for Culture, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, welcomed the
Chinese guests and presented them the traditional gifts of Ajrak and
Sindhi caps.

He also spoke of the very close friendly ties between Pakistan
and China.

On the occasion, the members of the Rally visited the National
Museum of Pakistan and evinced keen interest in the exhibits.

The Rally members who had arrived in Karachi on Saturday had
visited the mausoleum of Quaid i Azam Muhammad Jinnah to pay homage to the Founder of Pakistan.
