Anusha for working together to make Pakistan best IT sector destination


ISLAMABAD, Jan 18 (APP): Minister of State for Information Technology and Telecommunications, Anusha Rehman on Monday emphasized  the need to work together for making Pakistan the best IT sector  destination.
Addressing at a launching ceremony of Pakistan Telecommunication  Policy 2015 here, she said the new policy would boost the IT sector  in the country.  The Minister said the whole world appreciated Pakistan for  its initiatives in the sector of IT.
The initiatives of present government, she said,  would help make Pakistan a fully digitized country at par with  international standards.
The minister highly commended the efforts of Pakistan
Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and her ministry for formulating
the new policy and said after new policy actual work would be done
with more spirit and devotion.
Anusha Rehman reiterated her commitment for implementing
the policy in accordance vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
In his remarks, Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority
(PTA), Dr. Syed Ismail Shah congratulated the Minister
for achieving Global Achievement Award.
He also appreciated his team for formulating new IT policy
and attributed this achievement to team work.
He said the industry other stakeholders including PTA should work
together for the further promotion of IT sector in the country.
Later, Anusha Rehman presented shields to
officials worked in formulation of new policy.
Member IT, representatives of IT industry and stakeholders
attended the event.
