KARACHI, Mar 26 (APP):Governor of Sindh, Imran Ismail here on Tuesday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government firmly believes in provision of quality and free of charge medical services to the needy patients.
Talking to a four-member delegation of Patients Welfare
Foundation and Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre, led by senior
radiologist Dr.Tariq Mahmood, he said that Health Card Scheme is part of the very vision of the party and its leadership.
Under the scheme, he said patients would be able to acquire
health services upto Rs.700,000 and will not be required to make any collateral arrangement.
“Prime Minister Imran Khan has already approved issuance of free health cards in five districts of Sindh enabling people belonging to marginalized sections to acquire quality medical services,” said the Governor.
He also appreciated the services rendered by the Patients Welfare Foundation to a sizable number of people visiting the hospitals from different parts of the country.
Dr. Tariq Mahmood apprised him of the free of cost medical
services and medicines being provided to resourceless patients at
JPMC.
