India cannot quell Kashmir movement by killing youth: Birjees Tahir

ISLAMABAD July 28 (APP): Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Chaudhry Muhammad Birjees Tahir on Thursday said that Indian occupational forces in Kashmir cannot quell the voices of Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination by killing youth and detaining leadership.

“India should stop killing Kashmiri youth and respect international human rights laws and give Kashmiris their inalienable right to self-determination,” he said talking to PTV.

The minister condemned Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and said, India cannot silence the voices of hundreds of thousands Kashmiris who are waging a struggle for their just right.

“Their movement cannot be quelled by killing youth and detaining Kashmiri leadership.”

He said Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir are an open challenge for international community and a question mark on their role.

Birjees Tahir said resolution of the Kashmir dispute is pre-
requisite for regional peace and relations between Pakistan and India cannot be normalized without meaningful dialogue on the Kashmir issue.
