ISLAMABAD, April 11 (APP): Minister for Law and Justice Zahid Hamid Monday informed the Joint Sitting that both the treasury and opposition benches have reached on consensus on five out of six bills referred to the joint committee except on the Anti-Honour Killings Laws (Criminal Laws Amendment) Bill, 2015.

“Negotiation is underway to reach on consensus on the sixth one,” he said and expressed the hope that the committee would also resolve it unanimously today.

The minister said that the government could pass the PIA conversion bill from the joint sitting through its majority but it was referred to the committee to evolve consensus.
