Strategy evolved to avoid load-shedding during Sehr, Iftar

QUETTA, June 1 (APP): Chairman Standing Committee for Water and Power Senator Sardar Yaqoob Khan Nasir on Wednesday said that a comprehensive strategy has been evolved to overcome loadsheding during holy month of Ramazan especially at Sehr and Iftar.

He asked officials of the ministry of Water and Power to
submit a report on equal load-shedding schedule all across the country and for smooth supply of electricity to the citizens.

Talking to APP, he said various power projects were underway under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor to fulfil energy demands.

He said 30,000 megawatt electricity would be added to the
national grid after completion of the projects.

He said that the electricity was the basic necessity of masses
and the members of Senate Standing Committee on Water and Power would sincerely recommend the ministry to provide un-interrupted electricity to people of the country.

While answering a question Senator Yaqoob said that the
federal government was committed to end loadsheding by 2018.

The CPEC pact also related to energy and its benefits would
very soon be reached to masses.
