ISLAMABAD, Jun 24 (APP):A Sepoy of Pakistan Army was martyred on Sunday consequent to firing by terrorists while he was busy in fencing along Pak-Afghanistan border in the west of Gurbaz area of North Waziristan.
According to an ISPR press release, besides the martyrdom of Sepoy Niaz Ali, the attack also left a junior commissioned officer injured.
Sepoy Niaz Ali, 29, was married and a resident of District Mardan.
Director General ISPR, Major General Asif Ghafoor in a tweet said, “Another son of soil sacrificed his life while making Pak-Afghan border safe/inaccessible for Terrorist”.
He said Sepoy Niaz Ali embraced Shahadat due to fire from across on fencing party in North Waziristan.
DG ISPR said, “We shall IA complete fencing undeterred”, adding, Afghanistan cooperation required in mutual interest.
