ISLAMABAD, Sept 26 (APP): The Senate on Monday resolved that if the Indian government dare to embark on any military adventure against Pakistan, the people, the Government and the Armed Forces of Pakistan will stand united as one to face and defeat any form of aggression with all the might at their command.
The Senate adopted the resolution unanimously and strongly condemned India’s use of bullets and pellets which are killing, maiming and wound a whole new generation of unarmed boys and girls, which is a crime against humanity.
The resolution was moved by Leader of the House Raja Zafarul Haq on behalf of all parties in the Senate.
“The House reiterates that the only way out is to grant the people of Jammu and Kashmir their inalienable right of self-determination in accordance with the relevant United Nations’ resolutions, to which India and Pakistan are signatory,” the resolution said.
The House expressed its strong solidarity with the Kashmiri people for valiantly resisting the brute repression of the Indian occupation forces and acknowledged that they were writing a glorious chapter in the annals of historical freedom movements through their determinations, will and spirit of sacrifice.
The House urged international community to immediately take notice of the grave human rights violations in the occupied Jammu and Kashmir to prevent India to desist from war hysteria to distract attention away from India’s crimes against humanity in Jammu and Kashmir.
The House also urged the UN to hold independent inquiry into the ‘Uri incident’ to take it to its logical conclusion.
