ISLAMABAD, Sep 30 (APP): Leader of the House in Senate, Raja Zafar ul Haq has said, making efforts for establishment of peace in the world was prime responsibility of the United Nations (UN) and it should take notice of Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir.
He said speaking in a TV programme that it was also mentioned in the UN charter that it would play role for holding referendum in those territories which were still deprived of right to self-determination.
He said the UN should play its due role without any discrimination among the countries.
Raja Zafar ul Haq said Pakistan still needed to take more steps for Kashmir cause. International human rights organizations should be called here and should be informed with the current Kashmir situation.
He said more platforms should be provided to Kashmiri leaders so that they could present their case effectively because they were the real victims.
Leader of the House said delegations of parliamentarians should be sent abroad to highlight Kashmiris plight before the world community.
He said the Parliament was a appropriate forum and should be used to discuss the issue and to evolve a unanimous strategy.
He said Kashmir had never been part of India as resolutions passed in the UN also stated that Kashmir was a disputed territory and its decision would be made as per desired by its people.
Zafar ul Haq said India was not allowing international delegations to visit occupied valley to examine actual facts.
