Meeting reviews causes for shortfall in cotton production

ISLAMABAD, May 26 (APP): Minister for Finance Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday said that parliamentary committee had completed its preamble with consensus as it was a good beginning to resolve the matter.

The committee had talked on Terms of Reference (ToRs) on
Panama Papers and both government and opposition had showed flexibility on their stances, he said while talking to a private news channel.

The minister said, in a second phase, the committee would
discuss ToRs and 56 act of the constitution as all the commission were constituted in accordance to this act except last judicial commission regarding allegations of rigging in 2013 general elections.

If consensus was not developed on any point then it would
not be implemented, he added.

Replying to a question, he said the government and
opposition members had prepared a press release and no other information was shared to media regarding the meeting of the committee.

Ishaq Dar said the information would be shared to media
after evolving consensus on ToRs.

He expressed hope the committee would complete its task on time.
