KARACHI, Sept 15 (APP): The total liquid foreign reserves held by the country stood at US$ 22,858.4 million on September 9, 2016.
This was stated in an announcement of the State Bank of
Pakistan (SBP) here on Thursday.
It said that the break up of the foreign reserves position is as
i) Foreign reserves held by the SBP: US$ 17,853.7 million
ii) Net foreign reserves held by commercial banks: US$ 5,004.7 million
iii) Total liquid foreign reserves: US$ 22,858.4 million
The SBP further stated that during the week ending 09 September
2016, SBP’s Liquid FX Reserves decreased by US$ 211 million to US$17,854 million, compared to US$18,065 million in the previous week.
During the week, SBP made payments of US$ 296 million on account of external debt servicing.
