ISLAMABAD, Mar 25 (APP): Minister for Religious Affairs and Inter-faith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf on Friday informed the National Assembly that no financial assistance has been provided by the Government of Saudi Arabia to the heirs of Pakistani Hujjaj who embraced martyrdom in Mina incident last year. Responding to a question of Parveen Masood Bhatti, the Minister told the House in a written reply, however, as per Hajj policy in vogue, 74 victim families of this incident have been compensated @ Rs.500,000/- per head under Hujjaj Muhafiz Scheme(HMS) 2015. To another question, he said, out of 82 Pakistani pilgrims of Mina tragedy, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Inter-Faith Harmony compensated 74 nominees of the deceased Hujjaj @ Rs.500,000/- per head under Hujjaj Muhafiz Scheme, while the rest would be compensated/finalized on receipt of the supporting documents from their nominees.
