LAHORE, Sep 06 (APP):Senior Provincial Minister Abdul Aleem Khan Thursday said that real heroes are those who rendered
sacrifices to protect the future of the nation.
Addressing a ceremony held at PAF Airbase in connection with the Defence Day here, he said we salute to all those martyrs who took part in the 1965 war and fought with national spirit.
The senior minister said, “Every citizen is satisfied that today our beloved motherland is in the safe hands and no one could dare to look at Pakistan with bad intention.”
Abdul Aleem Khan also visited different stalls and inspected the arms and ammunition displayed there. He also viewed the air show and appreciated the performance of Pakistan Air Force personnel.
Later, Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan visited Batapur and Munawaan. He offered Fateha for all those who lost their lives in the war of 1965.
Talking to the media there, Abdul Aleem said,” alomost 53 years back, jawans of Pak Army proved that they are the best.”
As a nation, we are heading towards progress and prosperity under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan and it was high time that we all affirm this belief that no stone would be left unturned in this regard.
The senior minister said, “Defence Day demands that we, as individuals, and collectively, save the country from internal and external threats at all costs.
PTI leaders Ejaz Diyaal, Jamshaid Iqbal Cheema, Hafiz Farhat Abbass, Mansab Farmaish Awan and party workers in large number were present on the occasion and chanted slogans in
favour of Pakistan, Imran Khan and Pak Army.
Air Vice Marshal Irfan Ahmed and high-ranking officers of Air Force were present.
