30 killed, 48 injured in DG Khan blast, say Rescue 1122 official |

MULTAN, Feb 5 (APP): Doctors
and paramedical staff of Nishtar hospital Multan was put on alert after DG Khan
blast which, Rescue 1122 Incharge says, left 30 persons dead and another 48
injured on Thursday.
Doctors and paramedical staff
were put on alert to treat those seriously injured who were being brought to
Multan from DG Khan, officials said. One injured has reached Multan, officials
sources said.

Dr. Natiq told APP by phone that according to our data gathered so far, some 30
people have died and another 48 were injured in the bomb blast that occurred at
Wadani Manzil. He, however, added that process of data compilation was
continuing.
Some three to four seriously
injured have been referred to Nishtar Hospital Multan for treatment, he added.
Dr. Natiq said that Rescue 1122
transported the injured and the dead to DHQ hospital. Describing the tragic
scene, he said that some bodies were unidentifiable.
The dead included children, old
and young men and women, he said.
Meanwhile, Nishter hospital
administration stepped up security arrangements at the hospital and put the
staff and doctors on alert for treatment of the seriously injured.
Law enforcement agencies also
stepped up security in Multan after DG Khan blast.
