Doctors to decide about PM Nawaz return after surgery: Dar

ISLAMABAD, June 1 (APP): Minister for Finance and
Economic Affairs, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was recovering gradually from his surgery in London and doctors were totally satisfied about his health.

Talking to media after addressing the concluding session
of the 15th Session of COMSTECH General Assembly here at a hotel on Wednesday, Ishaq Dar said that the decision of
the Prime Minister’s return to Pakistan would be made by the
doctors.

Regarding budget, the minister said that it would be
announced in the parliament on June 3, according to schedule.

He said after stabilizing the economy, during past three years, the government would now focus on the growth of the national economy for the socio-economic prosperity of the country.

Ishaq Dar said that focus in the budget would be made on
agriculture and five export oriented sectors for
strengthening the economy besides steps would be taken for
reducing Current Account Deficit (CAD).

Replying to a question, the minister said that the past
pending rebates would be cleared by August 15, 2016.

To another question, the minister said that civil
administration was ready to hold census while armed forces
were engaged with ongoing Zarb-e-Azb.

He added that as soon as operation Zar-e-Azb would
be completed the national census would be conducted with the support of armed forces personnels.

About the raise in the salaries of the government
employees, the Minister said that he was waiting for the
committee’s report for any decision.
