WASHINGTON, April 22 (APP) A candle light vigil was held outside the White House, official residence of US President Barack Obama in Washington, to protest against the recent killings of Kashmiri people in the Indian held valley and molestation of a 16 year old girl.

A large number of people from the Washington region and neighboring states of Virginia and Maryland attended the vigil to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir who are subjected to all kinds of brutality at the hands of Indian troops.

The people carried placards inscribed with slogans against the Indian government and for the United Nations to implement its resolution to get the right of self determination for Kashmiri people.
