ISLAMABAD, Nov 26 (APP): Chairman Awami Muslim League Sheikh Rashid Ahmed Thursday welcoming decision of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to hold Pak-India cricket series in Sri Lanka said it would further close people of two countries to each others.
“Cricket is very famous and most watch-able game in the South Asia and both Pakistan and India will further promote the game,” he said while talking to media persons outside the Parliament House.
To a question regarding Indian Prime Minister’s prejudice attitude with minorities, Sheikh Rashid said that people from all segments of the society are taking stand against the Modi’s government.
The legislator said India, who claimed to be a big democratic, secular
and liberal country had been exposed at international level due to the wrong policies of the Modi Sarkar with the people like film star Amir Khan.
“Pakistan is the most important country of the region due to its
geographical situation and India has no future without Pakistan,” Sheikh Rashid added.
To another question regarding Dr Asim Hussain, he said that the
government should take strict action according to law against all those people who were involved in the criminal activities.
