Pakistan's eco-friendly roadmap to save future generations from climate change: PM

ISLAMABAD, Aug 28 (APP): Prime Minister Imran Khan Saturday approved a framework for promotion of School Cricket in particular and Domestic Cricket in general, advising the Central Punjab Cricket Association for implementing the model in its entirety.

The prime minister took a presentation on Domestic Cricket in Pakistan, with a special focus on School Cricket. The presentation was made by the Chairman of Central Punjab Cricket Association (CPCA), Abdullah Khan Sumbal.

The meeting was also attended by Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Dr Fehmida Mirza, Special Assistant to PM Dr Shahbaz Gill, CEO PCB Wasim Khan and CEO CPCA Khurram Niazi.

The prime minister appreciated the model developed by CPCA, an organization that works under the Pakistan Cricket Board, and called for its replication all over Pakistan strategically.

He asserted his total support to the School Cricket Championship beginning in Central Punjab from September 15 and stated that School Cricket had immense potential to generate and groom real cricketing talent.

The Chief Secretary Punjab highlighted the significant role of the Punjab Government in this major initiative.

“Pleased to review efforts of Punjab for revival of school cricket, especially (the) role of Central Punjab Cricket Association. 870 schools and 231 college grounds (as well as) 355 sports facilities (have been) developed across Punjab,” the prime minister said later on Twitter.

He also urged all provinces to focus on reviving sports and providing sports facilities for the youth.

In a separate tweet, the prime minister also thanked Ehsan Mani for his contribution to cricket in Pakistan during his three-year tenure as Chairman PCB.

“I especially appreciate his setting up, for the first time, a regional domestic cricket structure in Pakistan and his role in bringing back international cricket teams to Pakistan,” the prime minister remarked.

Pakistan helping in plans to fly medical supplies to Afghanistan: WHO

Pakistan helping in plans to fly medical supplies to Afghanistan: WHO

UNITED NATIONS, Aug 28 (APP):Pakistan is supporting efforts to fly humanitarian supplies into Afghanistan where medical stocks are dwindling and the airport in Kabul crippled by a terrorist attack, a senior Wold Health Organization (WHO) said in Geneva Friday.

“We have only a few days of supplies left and we’re exploring all options to bring more medicines into the country,” Dr. Rick Brennan, Regional Emergency Director with the WHO Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (EMRO), speaking during the bi-weekly briefing by UN agencies.

He told reporters the first Pakistani flight carrying humanitarian supplies will hopefully leave in the coming days to Mazar-i-Sharif.

The UN World Food Programme (WFP) is also establishing a “humanitarian airbridge”, with flights also expected to take off soon.

Meanwhile, UN Spokesman Stephane Dujrarric told APP that during Secretary-General Antonio Guterres phone conversation with Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday, he thanked for Pakistan’s support for UN operations in Afghanistan and their generosity towards Afghan refugees.

Prior to Thursday’s attack, WHO had planned three airlifts of trauma kits, emergency health kits, essential medicines and supplies for hospitals and health centres in Afghanistan, but the items remained grounded due to security and operational issues at the Hamid Karzai International Airport, kit was pointed out.

The blasts on Thursday targeted Afghans fleeing the country and military personnel securing the facility. More than 170 people were killed, according to media reports. The ISIS- K has claimed responsibility.

The UN condemned the attack, and has stressed the critical importance of the airport for facilitating the entry of aid workers and humanitarian relief. Although around 97 per cent of the roughly 2,200 health facilities in Afghanistan are functioning, they are running short of supplies to treat people affected by conflict, displacement, drought, malnutrition, and the coronavirus pandemic.

“Because of security concerns and several other operational considerations, Kabul airport is not going to be an option for the next week at least,” Dr. Brennan said.

“One of the challenges we have in Afghanistan right now is there’s no Civil Aviation Authority functioning. But we are working with the Pakistanis, particularly in the context of Mazar-i-Sharif Airport, because they can work with contacts on the ground to ensure that all the necessary steps to land an aircraft, to land a cargo aircraft, can be put in place”.

He added that insurance costs for bringing an aircraft into Afghanistan have “skyrocketed” overnight, reaching prices never seen before.

“We’re trying to jump through that hoop at the moment,” said Dr. Brennan. “Once we can address that, we will hopefully be airborne in the next 48 to 72 hours”.

The terrorist attack has accelerated tensions and volatility in a country where nearly half the population, or 18 million people, were already dependent on humanitarian relief even before the Taliban seized power. An ongoing UN appeal for $1.3 billion is less than 40 per cent funded.

Asked about the impact the attack had on hospitals in Kabul, Dr. Brennan reported that a WHO partner, the Italian NGO Emergency, which runs a trauma hospital in the city, has been “overwhelmed” in treating victims, who reportedly number more than 200.

“Of course, getting access to supplies is urgent, and we understand that they’ve got great pressure on their supplies right now. So our proposed air shipment in the next couple of days will be bringing in more trauma kits,” he said.

The UN continues to underline its commitment to stay in Afghanistan. More than 100 international staff, and around 3,000 national colleagues, remain in the country.
WHO, which has some 700 personnel located in all 34 provinces nationwide, said it is especially concerned about the health needs of women and children.

The agency said it fears a rollback in progress made over the past two decades, which saw maternal mortality rates drop by roughly 60 per cent and child mortality by around 50 per cent.

Even though Afghanistan falls short of international standards in availability of doctors and nurses for its population, thousands of health professionals were also trained during this period, including women doctors, nurses and midwives.

“Already we’re hearing that some female health workers are not attending work, and that there has been a decline in the attendance of women and children at some facilities,” Dr. Brennan said.

“This again highlights the need to ensure the availability of medical supplies to support female health workers in their work, and to encourage families to bring their mothers, females, girls, and children, to seek health care when they need it”.

Asked why women health workers were reluctant to go to work, Dr. Brennan said WHO assumed they were being cautious as the agency had not received any reports about physical or other restrictions blocking women from their jobs.

Thousands of Afghans have been fleeing abroad since the Taliban took over, and Dr. Brennan noted that health workers are also part of this “enormous brain drain”.

Looking ahead, WHO will be working with donors, partners and the Afghan health authorities in the coming weeks to ensure continued support for the country’s health system.

“For the past week or so, the eyes of the world have been focused on that major air operation at Kabul airport. But once that evacuation mission ends the enormous humanitarian needs will continue and our work will then enter a new phase which will bring complexities on a scale that we have not seen before,” Dr. Brennan said.

“In spite of these challenges, WHO and the UN will be there for the people of Afghanistan.”

Pakistan must be part of ‘sustainable’ solution in Afghanistan, Key US lawmaker

Pakistan must be part of 'sustainable' solution in Afghanistan, Key US lawmaker

WASHINGTON, Aug 28 (APP): US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham Friday praised Pakistani government for helping to evacuate people wanting to leave Afghanistan, and said that Pakistan must be part of “sustainable solution” to the conflict in the country.

“Very much appreciate the efforts of the Pakistani government to assist with the evacuation of U.S. citizens, our allies, and other nations,” he wrote on the Twitter, after speaking with Pakistan’s Ambassador to the U.S., Asad Majeed Khan, on the situation in Afghanistan.

“Any sustainable solution in Afghanistan must include Pakistan,” Senator Graham said, calling the region “very complicated” and the period “dangerous”.

“We all must remember Pakistan is a nuclear-armed nation,” he said, adding that “there is a Pakistan version of the Taliban who wishes (to) topple the Pakistani government and military,” referring to the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

On his part, the Pakistani Ambassador said he had spoken Senator Graham on the evolving situation in Afghanistan, and briefed him on Pakistan’s efforts to support evacuations from Afghanistan.

According to media reports, Pakistan has so far evacuated a total of 7,629 people of different nationalities through air and land routes, as it continues to evacuate diplomatic staff and foreign nationals including the personnel of international institutions stranded in Afghanistan.

US strikes back at ISIS-K with drone strike in Afghanistan

US strikes back at ISIS-K with drone strike in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON, Aug 28 (APP):US military conducted a drone strike on Friday against the ISIS-K terrorist group in Afghanistan in an apparent retaliatory attack against those who claimed responsibility for the attack Thursday outside Kabul’s airport.

“U.S. military forces conducted an over-the-horizon counter terrorism operation today against an ISIS-K planner,” said Captain Bill Urban, spokesman for U.S. Central Command, in a statement.

“The unmanned airstrike occurred in the Nangarhar Province of Afghanistan. Initial indications are that we killed the target. We know of no civilian casualties,” he added.
The ISIS-K claimed responsibility for the “martyrdom attack” on Thursday that involved a suicide bomber who detonated an explosive belt at the airport’s gate, killing 13 U.S. service members and more than 170 Afghans. Over 100 were wounded in the blasts.

The attack at the airport was one of the deadliest in the nearly two decades since the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan. American officials believe “another terror attack in Kabul is likely,” the White House press secretary, Jen Psaki, said on Friday afternoon. “The threat is ongoing and it is active. Our troops are still in danger.”

The U.S. airstrike followed President Joe Biden’s searing remarks from the White House on Thursday, when he pledged to “hunt down” the terrorists who claimed credit for the bombing.

“To those who carried out this attack, as well as anyone who wishes America harm, know this: We will not forgive,” Biden said.

A U.S. Embassy in Kabul warning said American citizens at the airport “who are at the Abbey gate, East gate, North gate or the New Ministry of Interior gate now should leave immediately.”

At the airport and in the streets, according to media reports, the U.S. military and the Taliban tried to exert what authority they could. Taliban fighters with Kalashnikov rifles kept crowds farther away from the airport’s entrance gates, guarding checkpoints with trucks and at least one Humvee parked in the roads.

The American military resumed evacuation flights, and White House officials said early Friday that 12,500 people had been evacuated from Afghanistan in the previous 24 hours, despite the attacks.

Fawad describes Taliban’s will for inclusive govt in Afghanistan encouraging

ISLAMABAD, Aug 27 (APP):Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain Friday said all the statements of Afghan Taliban showed that they were willing to form an inclusive government in Afghanistan, which was ‘very encouraging.

In an interview with international news channel, he said Afghanistan’s situation was extremely dangerous at the moment and there was dire need of engaging authorities in Kabul.

“If there will be a vacuum in Afghanistan, it will become headquarters for all the terrorist organizations in the world including Daesh or ISIS,” he added.

Fawad said such situation would not only be dangerous for Afghanistan but for the entire world.

He said Afghanistan was a very complex and ethnically divided country. The theme of ruling the landlocked country exclusively might not work.

Pakistan was suggesting Afghan Taliban that there was a need of more ethnic groups’ representation in the government, he said, adding an inclusive government was the only way forward for having a stable government in Afghanistan.

The minister said Pakistan was already hosting some 3.5 million Afghan refugees, adding the economy was not strong enough to bear more burden.

He said up till now, there was no real migration from Afghanistan to Pakistan, except foreigners who were being evacuated from Kabul.

Pakistan has helped evacuate some 4,000 people from Afghanistan, the minister noted.

Kabul gives deserted look after two deadly blasts; local media reports 170 casualties, 200 injuries

KABUL, Aug 27 (APP):After two deadly blasts on Thursday, Kabul – capital of Afghanistan – Friday gave a deserted look as there was no traffic on roads and markets were closed.

Khateeb in Juma congregations prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and early recovery of the injured.

They prayed for peace and stability in the war-ravaged country and unity among all the ranks of Afghans to work for progress and prosperity of the country.

According to health officials, the dead and injured of the two powerful blasts were brought to various hospitals. Majority of the wounded persons were died on their way to hospitals whereas the condition of some wounded was stated to be critical.

The Afghan health ministry officials said the death toll had risen to over 100 including 28 Taliban who were performing their duty outside the airport while the United States (US) military said 13 of its service members were killed and 18 injured.

More than 50 wounded were being treated in various hospitals where a state of emergency had been declared, they added.

As per local media, at least 170 Afghan were killed and 200 wounded in the in Kabul explosions.

A health official expressing his anonymity said among 170 dead, 34 were male including two boys and 32 men, and four were female including one girl and three women.
He said the identities of 132 other people yet to be ascertained at this stage.

Earlier, the World Health Organization regional headquarters in Cairo had reported that at least 161 Afghan civilians died in the Kabul blasts.

WHO said 145 dead bodies were brought in Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital while the Emergency Hospital also reported 16 death on arrival.

Taliban Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid, in a statement, asked medical personnel of the previous government to resume their responsibilities and provide the best medical treatment to the injured. He also assured them the provision of full security.

The statement of Taliban came after the local media reports that the government was not in place and the government departments were closing after the Taliban’s takeover of Kabul on August 15. It reported there was shortage of doctors and nurses in the hospitals.

Taliban had asked the religious seminaries across the country for one month holiday to its adult students, starting from August 28, as they needed them to contribute in maintaining the law and order situation, security in Kabul and other major cities.

Meanwhile, the US continued evacuation despite threats of more attacks. More than 8,000 American troops and Afghan families were evacuated in last one night from Kabul International Airport to Qatar.

The US, so far, had evacuated more than 100,000 of its troops and the Afghan families since the Taliban’s takeover.

The evacuation process was in full swing where the US transport aircraft C-130 and Herculese were busy in carrying foreign troops and Afghan families from Kabul to Qatar for their onward destinations, till the filing of this news story.

The US officials said their operation would be competed by August 31 deadline.

UNSC condemns Kabul airport attack as ‘especially abhorrent’

UNITED NATIONS, Aug 27 (APP):The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) Friday condemned, “in strongest terms”, a deadly attack at Kabul’s airport as “especially abhorrent” for targeting civilians trying to leave Afghanistan after the Taliban came to power and people helping with the evacuation.

“The members of the Security Council condemned in the strongest terms all instances of terrorism and deliberate attacks against civilians. They recalled that all parties must respect their obligations under international humanitarian law in all circumstances, including those related to the protection of civilians,” the 15-member council said in a statement.

“Deliberately targeting civilians and personnel assisting in the evacuation of civilians is especially abhorrent and must be condemned,” the statement added.

The Kabul airport attack on Thursday, which killed 13 United States troops and at least 79 Afghans, was claimed by ISIS-Khorosan, which has emerged as enemies of both the West and of the Taliban.

Tens of thousands of people have been leaving Afghanistan since the Taliban came to power as foreign forces withdraw.

The UNSC “called on all relevant parties to respect and facilitate the safe evacuation of civilians.”

The council also “reiterated the importance of combating terrorism in Afghanistan to ensure the territory of Afghanistan should not be used to threaten or attack any country, and that no Afghan group or individual should support terrorists operating on the territory of any country.”

United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is convening a meeting on Monday on Afghanistan with the UN envoys for Britain, France, the United States, China and Russia – the council’s permanent, veto-wielding members.

However, when asked about what the meeting might achieve, the UN chief told reporters on Thursday: “There are normal meetings that take place in the context of the work of the UN”

The US and allied forces are racing to complete evacuations of their citizens and vulnerable Afghans and to withdraw from Afghanistan by an August 31 deadline set by President Joe Biden.

On its part, Pakistan has so far evacuated a total of 7,629 people of different nationalities through air and land routes, as it continues to evacuate diplomatic staff and foreign nationals including the personnel of international institutions stranded in Afghanistan.

Pakistan guest of honour at EACT Expo kicked off in Xinjiang, China

BEIJING, Aug 27 (APP):Pakistan Ambassador to China Moin ul Haque has said that 2021 Online (China) Eurasia Commodity and Trade Expo would play a positive role in deepening Pakistan-China cooperation and trade and inject new impetus into Pakistan’s cooperation with Xinjiang, China.

He made these remarks while addressing a seminar titled “Cloud Dialogue for Guest of Honor on Economic and Trade Projects” under EACT EXPO 2021.

Co-hosted by Secretariat of China-Eurasia EXPO and Trade Development Bureau, Ministry of Commerce of China, 2021 Online (China) Eurasia Commodity and Trade Expo (EACT EXPO 2021) kicked off in Urumqi on August 25, with Pakistan as one of Guests of Honor, CEN reported.

At the opening ceremony, Badar U Zaman, Commercial Counsellor of Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing said the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China plays an important role in Pakistan-China border trade. There are more business opportunities to be spotted besides mango and citrus, said At the opening ceremony.

“We have got a road network between Xinjiang and the northern parts of Pakistan. Besides, on both sides of the border we have set up bonded warehouses which could benefit exporters and importers,” Badar said, adding that the border trade between Pakistan and China through the Khunjerab Pass had increased these years after the signing of China Pakistan Free Trade Agreement (CPFTA) on November 24, 2006, which came into effect in July 2007.

According to State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), a turnaround was witnessed in the bilateral trade when both countries signed CPFTA, as more business opportunities and convenience have been brought to enterprises and more benefits have been brought to consumers.

“One of the fastest increasing sectors we have seen is seafood,” Badar said. In addition to seafood, Pakistan is also experiencing a strong demand for minerals and metals from the Chinese market.

Badar noted that there are numerous opportunities available and he welcomes all the investors, traders and businessmen to spot opportunities at the Expo.

LAHORE, Aug 27 (APP):Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Friday met with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office to discuss the political as well as law and order situation.

Sheikh Rashid said the government had played a positive role in the Afghanistan situation.
He said the government was more strengthened than before and the credibility of the opposition parties had been fully eroded.

The Punjab government was solving the problems of the Rawalpindi residents and the steps taken by the government to solve public issues were praiseworthy, he added.

Talking on the occasion, the CM maintained that the country was going through a sensitive phase and emphasised that the nation needed unity more than ever due to the rapidly changing situation in the region.

The opposition parties were engaged in negative politics, he regretted, adding that these people had no interest in the problems of the people. The negative attitude and the anarchistic politics was detrimental to national unity and the elements engaged in working against the national interest would have to be stopped with the power of unity.

The CM asserted that the growing economy would not succumb to the negative politics of the corrupt cabal and the Punjab government would ensure the implementation of the law by taking necessary measures.

Situation along Pak-Afghan border stable, measures placed to control mobility: ISPR DG

file photo

RAWALPINDI, Aug 27 (APP):Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major General Babar Iftikhar Friday said the situation along Pakistan-Afghanistan Border was stable and required measures were placed to control mobility and contain unwanted movement.

He was briefing media over evolving situation in Afghanistan and implied national security risks to be faced by the country.

The ISPR DG said the military situation in Afghanistan felled rather rapidly post United States forces withdrawal when the Ashraf Ghani regime knocked down on August 15.

He said Pakistan took appropriate measures to protect its side of the border which was stable and had controlled movement, adding, “It will have positive impact on the other side and will try to reciprocate it on the other side.”

He informed that the notified crossings along Pak-Afghan Border was closed due to fluctuating situation in Afghanistan whereas the Afghan National Army soldiers on two occasions sought refuge on Pakistani side.

“Pakistan Army has responded to their request and provided them shelter, food and safe passage to their country,” he added.

The ISPR DG noted that there was chance of instability on Afghan Border, therefore, regular troops of Pakistan Army were deployed to ensure well-managed border security.

He said other than Afghanistan and its people Pakistanis were the biggest victim during the Russian War and Afghan conflict where the latter bore maximum brunt during the decades’ long conflicts.

“Over 86,000 innocent lives have been lost in Pakistan during the war on terror and more than $102billion economic losses faced by the country that are still counting,” he added.

Pakistan Army, he said, was engaged on three different fronts including Western, Eastern Borders and internal security to combat the menace of terrorism.

There were three major escalations on the eastern border when the Pakistan Army was engaged on the Afghan Border during the past two decades, he added.

Major General Babar said since 2014 over 12,000 ceasefire violations occurred on the line of control (LoC) where the security forces conducted 2,237 major operations leading to area clearance of 46,000 square kilometers from the terrorists.

“We have lost politicians, soldiers, artists, doctors, journalists, students, teachers and people from all strata of society that made the number of martyrs over 86,000,” he said, adding, “With the support of our great nation and the armed forces, we have turned the tide and brought normalcy to our nation.”

While shedding light on the efforts of made by the highest military leadership to extend assistance to the Afghan National Army in capacity building and combating terrorism, he said the Pakistan Army engaged with the Afghan Army on military to military basis and developed several mechanisms including tripartite, bipartite, army working group and intelligence sharing effort since 2014 but none of it worked except the one that was

established in 2018.
He added that there were five senior Pakistani military leadership’s visits to Afghanistan among four of them made by the army chief. During these visits, Afghans were offered intelligence sharing and training of Afghan soldiers whereas only six Afghan army cadets came to Pakistan for training where hundreds of them went to India for training.

The ISPR DG also informed the media about the massive security build up launched to secure the 2,611 kilometers long Pak-Afghan Border.

He said, “There has been a massive capacity enhancement initiative launched by the Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa in 2018.”

The capacity beef up included induction of 60 new wings of Frontier Corps in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan who were responsible to guard the western border, upgraded technology and biometrics at border terminals with further enhancement, new forts raised along the border, he added.

He briefed that almost 90 percent fencing along Pak-Afghan border was completed where many soldiers rendered sacrifices of their lives to make it a success and 50 percent fencing along Pak-Iran Border was completed.

“We fought this war with a whole of nation approach where operations Sherdil, Khyber-1 and Khyber-2, Zarb-e-Azb, Radd-ul-Fasaad etcetera are an epitome of insurmountable courage and resolve,” he added.

General Iftikhar confirmed that there were undeniable evidences of RAW involvement and its nexus with NDS (Afghan Intelligence Agency) in Dassu, Gwadar and Lahore terrorist attacks.

He told that some 1,030 development projects were initiated in Balochistan and Tribal districts at a cost of over Rs900 billion where the armed forces were assisting the provincial and federal governments in executing those projects.

The ISPR DG announced that this year ‘Defence Day’ on September would be marked with national zeal and fervour but with a new theme of “Watan Ki Matti Gawah Rehna” (the soil of the country be a witness—to our endeavours of nation building and protection).

He said the main ceremony would be held with strict Covid-19 protocols and safety measures to avoid disease spread.

“The nation is urged to reach out to the families of the martyrs who spilled their blood for the motherland and pay their respects and salute to their valiant martyrs and their loved ones,” he requested.

Responding to various media queries, he defied the assertions that the Taliban’s Islamic regime to have any impact on Pakistan’s setup. “Pakistan’s Constitution and laws are in line with Islamic principles and public aspirations and it will have no impact on us,” he said.

Despite the fact the there was fluid situation in Afghanistan but there was no risk of civil war to break out in that region, he replied to another query.

Demand for fresh polls ‘illogical’ as Fazl has no representation in Parliament: Farrukh

ISLAMABAD, Aug 27 (APP):Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib Friday said Mualana Fazlur Rehman’s demand for fresh elections was ‘illogical since he had no representation in the country’s Parliamentary system.

The present government would complete its five-year constitutional term, he said in a news statement while reacting to Mualana Fazlur Rehman’s media talk in Multan.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would also emerge victorious in the next general elections on the basis of its stellar performance which based on serving the nation, he added.

Referring to Fazlur Rehman current political status, Farrukh said the 12th man, who did not have any role in the Parliamentary system of Pakistan for the first time, was panting like a fish out of water.

He said Mualana Fazalur Rehman and other politicians who faced the worst-ever defeat in July 25, 2018 polls would never forget that elections.

The minister said it seemed that Fazlur Rehman still considered himself as a part of the Parliamentary system, but he should know that the only parliamentary leadership was invited to the national security meetings.

He said ‘rejected’ Fazl had once again openly expressed his frustration and failures in the media talk. His lobbying against holding of local government elections was justified as his party did not have any roots at union council and wards level, the minister added.

Farrukh said the public rallies and meetings of leaderships of the parties to the opposition alliance—Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) were nothing but a bid to revive a ‘dead horse’.

Their efforts to cause any harm to the government would prove futile as parties of the alliance (PDM) had incoherent ideologies, he added.

The minister said after exhausting all the options including protests, long march and
en mass resignations to destabilize the government, the people, who used to come into the power through backdoors, were now hurling accusations over the state institutions for their failures.

He said the PTI had set a tradition of issuing yearly performance reports while being in the power. The erstwhile governments of opposition parties had nothing to share with public during their respective tenures, he added.
