ISLAMABAD, Aug 31 (APP): Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) on Wednesday kicked off a three-day workshop organised to help aspiring children to excel in literary writing.
The workshop titled ‘How to produce children’s literature’ was organized by Dr Iftikhar Khokhar. The workshop comprised of separate sessions included how to write story by Riaz Adil and Ishfaq Ahmed.
On the second day of the workshop, children will be briefed about media production, the topic would be ‘Kahani say dramay tak’ following by question and answers session between children and experts.
In the next session, the Documentary will be presented by Zafer Sheikh. During the workshop children will also visit Riphah Institute of Media Sciences.
In the last session ‘How to write poem for children’ will be conducted by Ahmed Hatib and practice would be done by Riaz Adil.
Talking to APP, the Chairman PAL Professor Dr Muhammad Qasim Bughio said the participation in the three-day workshop will be free of charge.
He said that participants can acquire accommodation facility at writers house. However, the Academy will not pay the expenses of accommodation and meals.
Dr Muhammad Qasim said that a certificate distribution ceremony will be held on September 2.
