PTA establishes zonal office in GB


ISLAMABAD, Jan 8 (APP): Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), has established its zonal office in Gilgit Baltistan (GB) for the provision of telecom services in GB.
Zonal office has started working from 7th January. It has been established for vigilance of the telecommunication services and to facilitate expansion in the underserved area of the region.PTA is mandated to regulate the establishment, operation and maintenance of telecommunication system and provision of telecommunication services in the country.
Establishment of the zonal office in Gilgit is an important step decision to attract investment, create new employment opportunities and to provide affordable telecom services to the subscribers of these areas.
PTA zonal office located at House No 5, Riaz Road Jutiyal Cant, Gilgit. PTA has already six zonal offices located Karachi, Quetta, Lahore, Rwalapindi, Peshawar and Muzaffrabad.
