LAHORE, Jun 03 (APP):Pakistan Federation Baseball President Syed Fakhar Ali has assured all-out help and support to Hyderabad Baseball Association for overall development of the game by allocating them high profile national baseball events.
He gave this assurance during his visit to Hyderabad on the invitation of HBA on Monday. He was accompanied by Fakhar Amir Kazmi Legal Advisor PFB.
Perwaiz Ahmad Sheikh, vice president Sindh Baseball Association/President Hyderabad Baseball Association (HBA), along with Advocate Abdul Razaq Barohi, SVP HBA, and Ayesha Iram, Women Member PFB, welcomed the guests at a reception, hosted in their honour. Sports organisers and officials of Dadu, Jamshoro, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan and Badin Baseball Associations were also present.
Syed Fakhar Ali highlighted the activities being made from the platform of the PFB for promotion of the game in the country.
“Our objective is to promote and develop baseball on solid lines across the country and we will be taking every measure to supplement the ongoing efforts of the HBA for the over all development of the game,” he said.
He announced that the HBA will host youth women baseball events and coaching programmes in coming months helping the Hyderabad players, both male and female, to get the equal opportunity for their selection in respective national teams to represent the country in international events abroad.
“We have also allocated National Women and National Inter-School Baseball Championships in Hyderabad in near future for the upift of the game in Sindh,” he asserted.
Officials of the HBA speaking on the occasion appreciated the efforts of President, PFB for giving new identity to baseball in the country by launching a comprehensive activity programme at various levels for the promotion of the game.
They also greeted Syed Fakhar Ali on his recent election as Member at Large Baseball Federation of Asia.
