LAHORE, Aug 2 (APP): PML-N Lahore President and Member National Assembly Pervez Malik while rejecting Awami Muslim League chief and MNA Sheikh Rashid Ahmed’s prediction regarding Army intervention said the opposition must wait for the next general elections.
Talking to APP here Tuesday, Pervez Malik said Rashid should be ashamed of seeking any intervention from the third power just for the lust of power. PML-N was not afraid of such negative propaganda, he added.
He said Sheikh Rashid and whole opposition should learn a lesson from the overwhelming majority of PML-N in recent Azad Kashmir elections which proved the popularity of the ruling party.
He said Rashid was in search of back doors to enjoy power but in fact he used to live in fools paradise. Malik said the PML-N leadership was utilizing its energies on ushering prosperity through development projects in the country which was why masses were satisfied with the government.
Malik said the AML chief was afraid of popularity of the PML-N government, adding that conspiracies by opposition would fizzle out.
He advised Sheikh Rashid to give up the politics of sensation
and agitation for the sake of stability in the country.
