NBF publishes new book titled ‘Taming Disaster’

ISLAMABAD, Oct 7 (APP): National Book Foundation has published a new book titled ‘Taming Disaster: A key to effective disaster management‘ in connection with October 8, 2005 earthquake written by Israr Ayub.

Writer Israr Ayub is an expert in Disaster Management and as a senior consultant he teaches subject of management in different universities of the country. He also has international experience of work, a press release said.

Managing Director National Book Foundation, Dr Inam Ul Haq has acknowledged the efforts of the writers because book on the disaster management was need of the time.

Education of this discipline is obligatory under the international convention and treaties ratified and signed by the government.

The purpose of launching this book is to create awareness in all section of the society including elite to grassroots level.

This book is very much informative for students and teachers as well as for researchers.

The book will also be published in Urdu language.
