Nawaz, Maryam return to Adiala on expiry of parole

LAHORE, Sep 17 (APP):Former Prime Minister Muhamamd Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Capt (R) Muhamamd Safdar were escorted back to the Adiala Jail from Lahore airport on the expiry of their parole on Monday afternoon.
They were initially released on a parole of 12 hours on September 12 (Wednesday), which was later extended to five days till 4 pm September 17 (Monday) for attending the funeral prayers, burial and other last rituals of Begum Kulsoom Nawaz, who had died in London after protracted illness.
Foolproof security arrangements were made from the Sharifs’ residence in Jati Umra to the Allama Iqbal International Airport (Hajj Terminal) on the occasion. Some of the party sympathizers had gathered outside the Hajj terminal to bid farewell to the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders.
