APS sacrifice reinvigorated nation’s spirit against terrorism: Tariq Fazal


ISLAMABAD, Dec 16 (APP): Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said on Friday that sacrifice of the Army Public School Peshawar reinvigorated the spirit of the nation in war against terrorism.
Addressing a function to mark the second anniversary of the tragic incident at a local college,the minister said that the martyrs of APS wrote a new history with their blood and the nation will always remember their sacrifice.
“Their sacrifice made the nation secure and changed history”,he said adding that now the scourge of terrorism has been eliminated to great extent.
He said that before December 16,2014 there were differences among the political parties on the issue of operation against the terrorists but this tragic incident united the nation.
He said that the federal government has named after the APS martyrs schools of the colleges in capital territory to pay tribute to their sacrifice.
Tariq Fazal said that under Prime Minister Educational Reform Programme steps were being taken to improve the infrastructure of the educational institutions and train the teachers to improve the quality of education.
Minister of State for Information,Broadcasting and National Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb also spoke on the occasion. Candles were
lit and Fateha was offered for the souls of the martyrs.
