Addressing a seminar and ‘Mushaira’ on the 138th birth anniversary
of Allama Iqbal, he stressed the youth to mould their lives
in accordance with Allama’s message and vision to achieve the objective
of a peaceful and welfare state.
He said hope and optimism awakes a nation and gives courage in
the gloomy and tough situations of life.
He said the poetry of Allama Iqbal revolves around hope and optimism
which ultimately blossoms the life.
Irfan Siddiqui said Allama Iqbal guided the people to lead their
lives in line with Islamic teachings, though he was fully aware of
the Western world and its traditions.
He said Allama Iqbal’s writings and style had no precedent as
he was a thinker and an intellectual par excelence, who declared in 1930
that he envisioned an emerging Islamic state.
He said his vision and message was a source of guidance for the
people, being a shining star.
Dr Tauseef Tabassum presided over the ceremony while Kishwar Naheed
was the guest of honour. Dr Ahsan Akbar, Prof Jalil Aali and Dr
Ayub Sabir read their papers on the subject.
The Mushaira was held in the second session of the ceremony in which
