Economic growth reflects successful policies, says Ejaz Ch

LAHORE, Jun 10 (APP):Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Central Punjab President Senator Ejaz Ahmed Chaudhry has termed the Economic Survey 2020-21 as a reflection of government’s successful economic policies.

Talking to APP here on Thursday, Senator Ejaz Chaudhry said that people friendly economic policies of the PTI government are yielding fruits in the shape of growth in various sectors including foreign remittances, industry, agriculture and exports. He added that Ehsas Programme was recognised as one of the best social protection programme by the World Bank. He said that old BISP Programme was full of undeserving people and a lot of government officer were getting money illegally.

Senator Ejaz Chaudhary said that Sania Nishtar being head of the Ehsas Programme not only expelled thousands of undeserving beneficiaries but also included tens of thousands of genuine people from poor segments of society that was a great success.

This programme also played key role during Covid-19 Pandemic and disbursed billions of rupees in a transparent manner to the jobless daily wagers and the poor.

To a question, the PTI Senator replied that due to farmer friendly policies of the government, the agriculture sector showed growth worth Rs1100 billions and the farmers earned more during the PTI’s tenure as compared to the past governments’ terms.

He added that the sugarcane, wheat and rice are yielding bumper crops and timely payments are being ensured to the farmers. He said that historical record of foreign remittance reaching 26 US billion dollars was a proof that overseas Pakistanis showed trust in the honest leadership of PM Imran Khan and the PTI government.

He said that under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the government will continue to upgrade the life of the poor segments of society and will ensure equal distribution of resources at grassroots level.
