PM approves promotion of 13 officers to BS-22; appointment on different posts

ISLAMABAD, Aug 5 (APP): Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Friday approved the promotion of 13 officers of various ministries, divisions and services to BS-22, along with their appointment on different posts.

The Prime Minister approved the promotions, as recommended by the High Powered Selection Board after its deliberations on August 1, 2016, according to a notification issued by the Prime Minister’s Office here.

Mr. Imran Iqbal (Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service) will be
appointed upon promotion as Member of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission;

Mrs. Tehmina Janjua (Foreign Service of Pakistan) will continue upon promotion as Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva;

Mr. Azhar Ali Chaudhry (Commerce and Trade) will continue upon promotion as Secretary Board of Investment;

Ch. Safdar Hussain (Inland Revenue Service), upon promotion, his services will be retained in the Federal Board of Revenue;

Dr. Muhammad Irshad (Inland Revenue Service), upon promotion, his services will be retained in the Federal Board of Revenue;

Capt. (Retd) Liaquat Ali Khan (Police Service of Pakistan), upon promotion, will continue to serve as Inspector General Frontier Constabulary against an upgraded post;

Mr. Muhammad Almish (Police Service of Pakistan), upon promotion, will continue to serve as Director General, Federal Investigation Agency;

Mr. Azmat Ali Ranjha (Pakistan Administrative Service), upon promotion, will continue as Secretary, Ministry of Commerce;

Mr. Rizwan Bashir Khan (Pakistan Administrative Service), upon promotion, will continue as Secretary, Ministry of Information Technology;

Capt. (Retd) Shahid Ashraf Tarar (Pakistan Administrative Service), upon promotion, will continue as Chairman, National Highway Authority;

Sardar Ahmad Nawaz Sukhera (Pakistan Administrative Service), upon promotion, will continue as Secretary, Privatization Commission;

Mrs. Yasmeen Masood (Pakistan Administrative Service), will be appointed upon promotion as Secretary BISP vice Mr.
Muhammad Saleem Ahmad Ranjha (Pakistan Customs Service), whose services shall be placed at the disposal of the Federal Board of Revenue; and,

Mr. Muhammad Younus Dagha (Pakistan Administrative Service), upon promotion, will continue as Secretary, Ministry of Water and Power.
