China ready for partnership with Pakistan for generating solar energy to meet power shortage

China Friday offered cooperative partnership for generating and manufacturing
solar energy equipment in Pakistan to help meet its growing power shortages.The offer was made
at a Press Conference held here to brief the media on 2010 International Solar
Cities Congress to be held in Shangong province.
“We have got
solid foundation in the solar energy sector”, said that Deputy Mayor
of Dezhou City Yuan Xiuhe while replying to a question from APP.
He explained
three important areas for generating solar energy in Pakistan.
Elaborating, he said that China got
very high quality of solar energy materials and
other related products used in generating solar energy and we would like to
sell these products to your country for which we are ready to establish our
offices in Pakistan.
“So that the
people of Pakistan could enjoy hassle‑free their daily life with the
generation of electricity from solar equipment”, he noted.
Secondly, he said that China is
also ready to send delegation comprising
technicians from prominent Hinin Group for the introduction and manufacturing
of their high‑quality cost effective solar energy equipment in Pakistan.
By
manufacturing these equipment in Pakistan, he
further explained, their cost
would further cut down and it will also help generate job opportunities.
Finally, Yuan
said that through establishment of joint ventures between the two
countries, we can make solid future in the solar industry.
The Vice‑President
of International Solar Energy SocietyHuang Ming speaking on
the occasion said that “Pakistan and China are
like brothers”.
“We are eager
to promote our solar energy industry in Pakistan”, he noted.
Hung said
that like Pakistan, China is also faced with energy crisis and to meet our
demand we import fuel from various countries.
He, however, said that with the
passage of time, the solar energy industry of China, like
other areas of economy has expanded many folds and now we enjoy 76 per cent of
world market share as we have very high quality solar energy technology.
Hung pointed
out that his Group is ready to bring its state of the art technology to
Pakistan by establishing joint ventures with local enterprises.
In the 2010 International Solar
Cities Congress, Hung said that the organizer will invite
entrepreneurs, experts and delegates from different cities from the world to
sit together to devise strategy for generating solar energy in their respective
cities.
