China gives additional aid of RMB 50 million for flood victims |

ISLAMABAD, Aug 13 (APP): China on Friday announced additional RMB 50 million for the floods Relief Aid to Pakistan, bringing total Chinese relief aid to more than RMB 70 million to the flood-affected Pakistani people. A Spokesman of the Chinese Embassy’ said here on Friday said that in light of the immense damages caused by the floods in Pakistan, the People’s Republic of China has decided to donate an additional RMB 50 million aid to Pakistan on August 12. Now total Chinese relief aid reached to more than RMB 70 million to the flood-affected people.
Part of the new aid is to provide daily essentials for the people ravaged by the landslide in Pakistan’s Hunza area, he added.
China is one of the first countries providing immediate aid to Pakistan
in the aftermath of the floods. The Chinese government, People’s
Liberation Army, and the Red Cross Society has respectively donated RMB
10 million, RMB 10 million and 50,000 US dollars either in material or
in cash recently.
Chinese diplomats, companies, and individuals in Pakistan also made voluntary donations, he concluded.
