Faheem Haider elected President of Federal Golf Association

ISLAMABAD, Mar 18 (APP):Faheem Haider, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Mari Energies Pvt. Limited, has been elected President of the Federal Golf Association for the term 2025–2029.
Haider brings over 28 years of extensive international experience in the oil and gas sector, having served in key technical and leadership roles with prominent companies including Union Texas Petroleum, OMV Pakistan Exploration GmbH, Helix RDS Limited, BG Group Plc, and Neptune Energy Group, said a news release.
He is also serving as a nominated Director of Pakistan International Oil Limited since July 15, 2021, and is widely regarded for his strong understanding of the exploration and production (E&P) business from technical, operational,
and commercial perspectives.
Haider holds a Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering and Production Management (with Distinction) from
Imperial College London, a postgraduate diploma from the College of Petroleum Studies Oxford, and a BSc
(Honours) in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore.
Alongside the President, other office-bearers elected for the 2025–2029 tenure include AVM Tariq Mehmood Ghazi,
SI (M), as Senior Vice President; Ibrar Khan as Vice President; Brig Sumair Ashraf Sheikh as Honorary Secretary;
Bilal Tariq Khan as Honorary Treasurer; and Syed Amer Gilani as Honorary Joint Secretary.
The elections were conducted by Malik Muhammad Kamran, Manager Pakistan Golf Federation, under the supervision of representatives from the Election Commission of Pakistan Sports Board and the Islamabad Olympic Association,
ensuring compliance with the applicable sports regulations and governance framework.
Pakistan Golf Federation extended congratulations to the newly-elected office-bearers and expressed confidence
that the new leadership would play a vital role in promoting and developing the game of golf in the federal area.
