BAHAWALPUR, Apr 01 (APP): Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza, conducted a detailed visit to the historic inner-city hub of Farid Gate to inspect ongoing development and restoration projects.
During the visit, the officials reviewed the beautification and rehabilitation work of historic buildings stretching from Farid Gate to Masjid Al-Sadiq.
Deputy Commissioner Syed Hassan Raza briefed the Commissioner in detail on the progress, quality standards, and timelines of the ongoing projects.
Commissioner Musarrat Jabeen directed that all development schemes be completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining high-quality standards, ensuring improved facilities for both residents and tourists.
During the briefing, it was highlighted that under the Walled City Project, installation of street furniture, including benches and dustbins, is underway at Farid Gate. Efforts are also being made to improve street lighting, rehabilitate footpaths, and strengthen the sanitation system.
The commissioner directed officials to accelerate restoration efforts at other historic sites within the inner city through a comprehensive strategy while ensuring strict monitoring of all ongoing works.
