SC disposes of appeal against Khadim Hussain Rizvi’s bail as infructuous

ISLAMABAD, Mar 09 (APP): The Supreme Court on Monday disposed of an appeal seeking cancellation of the bail of Khadim Hussain Rizvi after declaring it infructuous.

A two-member bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi heard the case. During the hearing, Additional Advocate General Punjab Ahmad Raza Gilani informed the court that Khadim Hussain Rizvi had passed away and the trial in the case had also been completed.

After hearing the arguments, the court observed that since the respondent had died and the trial had already concluded, the appeal had become ineffective. Consequently, the court disposed of the case.
