RAWALPINDI, Oct 8 (APP): Provincial Minister of Punjab for Law and Parliamentary Affairs Bashrat Mehmood Raja Monday said PC-1 and acquirement of land for Rawalpindi Ring Road would be approved during the Punjab Assembly budget session.
Chairing a meeting here at Commissioner Office, he said with the construction of Ring Road, the traffic burden on city roads would be decreased and it would also facilitate the growth of Rawalpindi city towards the southwest side.
Bashrat said through the Ring Road, a number of villages would be connected to each other.
He said to overcome water crises in Rawalpindi, Daducha and Chahan Dam would be built, adding that strict action would be taken against water tanker mafia who were providing polluted water to citizens.
The minister said the government land would also be vacated from land and encroachment mafia by holding a grand operation against them.
Commissioner Saif Anjum, officials of WASA, RDA and small dams organization were preset on the occasion.
