A lecturer from University of the Punjab’s Hailey College of Commerce, Hafiz Fawad Ali, has successfully completed the prestigious “Firenze 12th Winter School on Research Methodology in Social Sciences, Urban Studies, and Spatial Planning” along with the Training School on Applied Ontology for Conceptual Analysis and Systematization (OBSERVISTA) held in Florence, Italy.
PU lecturer completes international winter school in Florence

LAHORE, Mar 07 (APP): A lecturer from University of the Punjab’s Hailey College of Commerce, Hafiz Fawad Ali, has successfully completed the prestigious “Firenze 12th Winter School on Research Methodology in Social Sciences, Urban Studies, and Spatial Planning” along with the Training School on Applied Ontology for Conceptual Analysis and Systematization (OBSERVISTA) held in Florence, Italy.
According to a press release, the programme was hosted by Università degli Studi di Firenze with support from the European Urban Research Association and several Italian universities. It aimed to enhance participants’ research capacities through keynote lectures, interactive workshops and intensive methodological training sessions.
During the winter school, participants explored both classical and innovative research methodologies, practical analytical tools and collaborative learning strategies under the guidance of internationally renowned scholars.
Hafiz Fawad Ali was also awarded a competitive grant by the organisers to support his participation in the programme.
His successful completion of the international training programme reflects his continued commitment to advancing academic research and strengthening global academic engagement at the University of the Punjab.
