Empowering women key to national progress, says FJWU VC
RAWALPINDI, Mar 08 (APP):Vice Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Women University Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza (PoP, T.I) has said that empowering women through education, mentorship and leadership opportunities is essential for national progress.
In her message on International Women’s Day, she extended greetings to women across Pakistan and the world, saying the day celebrates women’s achievements while reminding societies of their responsibility to ensure equal opportunities, dignity and empowerment for every woman.
Referring to this year’s theme, ‘Give to Gain’, she said investment in women benefits the entire nation as educated and empowered women strengthen families, enrich communities and contribute significantly to economic and social development.
She said that the Fatima Jinnah Women University was committed to nurturing confident leaders, innovators and entrepreneurs through initiatives such as the Business Incubation Center (BIC), the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) and the Women Empowerment Mentorship Program (WEMP).
Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza said empowering women with knowledge and confidence enables them to become catalysts for progress in their families, institutions and the nation, adding that investing in women today will help build a more equitable and prosperous future.
