ITP declares Faisal Masjid, four major parks family-only for Eid, issues traffic advisory

ISLAMABAD, Mar 20 (APP): Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has declared Faisal Masjid and four major recreational spots — Daman-e-Koh with Play Land, Pakistan Monument with Shakarparian, and Lake View Park — as family-only places during Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, while issuing a comprehensive traffic advisory for citizens.

An ITP official told APP on Friday that F-9 Fatima Jinnah Park would remain open for the general public, whereas entry to other notified locations would be restricted to families only.

He said that entry of vehicles and motorcycles not carrying families would be restricted at these locations to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety.

The official added that special traffic squads would be deployed to regulate traffic and guide citizens at major recreational points.

He urged citizens to follow the traffic advisory, park vehicles in designated areas and cooperate with traffic police to avoid inconvenience.

He further advised the public to contact Traffic Helpline 1915 or Pucar-15 for assistance, and stay tuned to ITP FM 92.4 for updates.
