CDA launches digital property processing system in Sector D-12

ISLAMABAD, Feb 12 (APP): The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched a digital system for processing property-related matters in Sector D-12, marking the authority’s first formal shift from a traditional manual filing system to an electronic workflow.
The initiative was inaugurated by CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa at a ceremony attended by senior CDA officials and citizens on Thursday.

Applications submitted at the CDA One-Window Facilitation Centre and the Assan Khidmat Markaz related to the sector will also be handled electronically.

Officials said the system enables real-time tracking of applications, allowing applicants to monitor the progress and status of their cases.
The digital workflow is expected to reduce manual intervention, improve transparency and speed up processing of property-related matters.
The CDA said all relevant land records have been digitised to minimise the risk of data loss and enhance coordination among departments.
The system also introduces cashless payments with real-time transaction monitoring, developed through the authority’s in-house resources.
Officials noted that the system has initially been implemented for Sector D-12 and will be gradually extended to other sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, Randhawa said the initiative was aimed at improving service delivery and promoting e-governance, adding that it could help reduce delays and procedural bottlenecks.
Citizens visiting the facilitation centre welcomed the move and called for similar systems to be introduced in other sectors.
