ISLAMABAD, Oct 24 (APP):Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Media Affairs Iftikhar Durrani on Wednesday said accountability was the top priority of the government and would be continued without any discrimination across the country.
Talking to PTV news, Iftikhar said zero tolerance on corruption was the main agenda in the manifesto of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) during the election campaign and the government was taking practical steps in this regard.
He said the government was taking steps to made the country a real welfare state.
It is the democratic right of opposition to criticize government and the government would provide all facilities to them for protest and sit in at any time, anywhere.
The government would provide maximum facilities to Overseas Pakistanis to enhance remittances besides convincing them to send the money through proper channel.
To a question, he expressed hope that in future other friendly countries would also help out Pakistan to overcome the economic crunch.
The previous government had artificially controlled the values of rupee, which was now facing depreciation against dollar.
Commenting on the policy of the PTI in KP, he said in the previous tenure of PTI in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa no political case was registered against any political opponent.
To a question, he said the government had addressed all the issues of the employees of Utility Stores Corporation.
