Over 10,000 personals deployed as Hazara police finalize Eid security plan: DIG Hazara

ABBOTTABAD, Mar 20 (APP):Hazara Police have deployed over 10,000 personnel across eight districts after finalizing a comprehensive security plan for Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Hazara Nasir Mahmood Satti said on Friday.
The deployment, made on the directives of IGP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed, includes operational staff, traffic wardens, Elite Force, SSU, lady police, Special Branch, and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel.
DIG Satti reviewed district-wise security arrangements and termed them satisfactory, stating that Hazara Police are fully prepared to tackle any emergency situation. He added that a traffic management plan has also been devised to ensure smooth flow of vehicles and facilitate tourists during the festive days.
Directing District Police Officers (DPOs) to personally monitor the implementation of the security plan, the DIG emphasized enhancing security at major mosques, Imambargahs, and other sensitive locations.
He also instructed SDPOs and SHOs to conduct regular visits to markets, shopping malls, and religious places, and to carry out search and strike operations with the assistance of bomb disposal units and sniffer dogs. CTD and Special Branch officials have been directed to keep a close watch on suspicious individuals and those listed in the Fourth Schedule.
Strict action has been ordered against aerial firing, fireworks, drifting, and one-wheeling during Chand Raat and Eid, with violators to be arrested.
The DIG further directed police officers to visit personnel deployed at police stations, check posts, and other duty points during Eid to boost their morale.
