FAISALABAD, Aug 28 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Nadeem Nasir said on Thursday that the district administration was fully capable of protecting the lives and property of citizens during the flooding situation.
During his visit to the relief camps in the riverine area of tehsil Tandlianwala, he directed the officers concerned to remain alert and carefully monitor the flooding situation and water level.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Rana Musa and Assistant Commissioner Tandlianwala Azki Sahar were also present.
The Deputy Commissioner reviewed the water situation at Pulmari Pattan and Sheraza Pattan and inspected flood arrangements and safety measures.
He also visited different relief camps set up at Government Primary School Thatta Khokhar, Government Elementary School 612-GB and Government Primary School 608-GB.
He checked the food, medicine stock and other basic facilities in the relief camps.
He said that provision of the immediate rehabilitation and facilities to the flood victims is the top priority.
He further said that rescue teams are alert to deal with any emergency situations in the area.
He also appealed to the people to avoid unnecessary movement near flood waters.
