CM distributes cheques of Rs. 81mn under Mezban program
PESHAWAR, Dec 18 (APP):Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi here Thursday distributed interest free loan cheques amounting 81 million rupees under provincial government’s program “Mezban” among 59 applicants.
Addressing the ceremony, the CM said that through the Mezban program, residents of tourist districts are being provided opportunities to generate income. He said that KP possesses immense tourism potential and provincial government is taking solid measures to utilize this potential for the economic stability of the province.
He informed that selection of all beneficiaries was made strictly on merit, adding that merit and transparency are the core principles of the provincial government.
He said that primary objective of the program is to provide tourists with accommodation in private homes while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities for local communities.
