62-bed hospital inaugurated in Kacha Paka, Kohat

PESHAWAR, Apr 21 (APP):A newly constructed 62-bed community hospital, Az-Zahra Hospital, has been inaugurated in Kacha Paka, Kohat.
The facility aims to provide essential healthcare services to residents of nearby villages along the Kohat-Hangu Road and the lower Orakzai region.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Member of National Assembly Shehryar Khan Afridi hailed the hospital as a “gift” for the people who previously had to rely on distant hospitals in Kohat and Hangu. He praised the initiative as a milestone for the Bangash triangle region, offering round-the-clock emergency healthcare.
Member of the Provincial Assembly Shafiullah Jan announced that new road and electricity schemes would be included for Kacha Paka in the next financial year. He also expressed pride in Kohat District Hospital being ranked second in a recent provincial performance report.
Board Member Khurshaid Anwer Jawadi emphasized the urgent need for such a facility, particularly for the poor and underprivileged.
He said the hospital would help eliminate the need for unqualified practitioners in the area and improve maternal and neonatal care.
Local leaders and health officials also highlighted the hospital’s importance in addressing the healthcare needs of the community.
