The total liquid foreign reserves of Pakistan surged to US$ 21,704.2 million as of March 13, 2026 while the reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan also rose to $ 16,353.7 million.
Pakistan’s total liquid foreign reserves rise to $ 21.7 billion

KARACHI, Mar 19 (APP):The total liquid foreign reserves of Pakistan surged to US$ 21,704.2 million as of March 13, 2026 while the reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan also rose to $ 16,353.7 million.
“During the week ended on 13-Mar-2026, SBP’s FX reserves increased by US$ 13 million to US$ 16,353.7 million,” the central bank reported on Thursday in its weekly statement on the position of liquid foreign reserves.
Meanwhile, the net foreign reserves held by the commercial banks, according to the break up of forex reserves, increased by $ 93 million to $ 5,350.5 million during the period under review.
Total liquid foreign reserves held by the country in the previous week ended on March 06, 2026 were $ 21,598.3 million.
Among them the State Bank of Pakistan held foreign exchange reserves of $ 16,341.1 million while the commercial banks held reserves equalling to $ 5,257.2 million.
