KARACHI, Jan 21 (APP):RCAK Whites and RCAK Yellow registered victories in two matches of the RCAK Under-15 Challenge Cricket League, played at different venues across the city on Tuesday. The day’s standout performance came from Shayan Khan, who scored a brilliant century.
At the Oval Ground, NBP Cricket Stadium, RCAK Whites defeated RCAK Greens by two wickets in a closely fought encounter. Batting first, RCAK Greens were bowled out for 171 in 37.5 overs, with Areeb Noor top-scoring with an impressive 88, including 14 fours. Hassan Khan starred with the ball for RCAK Whites, claiming 5 wickets for 32 runs, while Mohib Nasir and Haris Khan took two wickets each.
In reply, RCAK Whites chased down the target, scoring 172 for 8 in 47 overs. Aitazaz played a crucial unbeaten knock of 51, hitting ten fours, while Ejlal Tariq contributed 28 and Muhammad Zakwan added 22. Shayan Khan picked up two wickets for 41 runs.
In the second match at Jinnah College Ground, Nazimabad, RCAK Yellow beat RCAK Reds by 16 runs. RCAK Yellow were bowled out for 197 in 38.5 overs, with Azaam Abbasi scoring 82, including nine fours and two sixes. Abdullah Ehsan supported with 41 runs. For RCAK Reds, Muhammad Hasnain took 3 for 52, while S.M. Hussain Imam, Hamza Salman, and Bilal Khan claimed two wickets each.
Chasing the target, RCAK Reds managed 181 for 7 in 40 overs despite a magnificent century by Shayan Khan, who scored 103 with 18 fours. However, his effort went in vain as Wajid Ullah’s bowling spell of 2 for 48 helped RCAK Yellow secure the win.
