ISLAMABAD, Mar 11 (APP):Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) on Wednesday rejected reports circulating on social media regarding the appointment of a head coach, selection committee and other related matters, terming them “fake and baseless.”
In a statement, the PHF clarified that several unverified reports had been circulating on social media in recent days, claiming developments regarding key appointments within the federation. The federation categorically stated that these reports had no basis in reality.
The PHF said that any official information regarding appointments or other organizational matters would be released solely through the PHF Media Cell.
“All media representatives are requested to consider and share only the news issued by the PHF Media Cell as authentic,” the statement said.
The federation also acknowledged the support of the media and other stakeholders for the promotion and development of hockey in the country.
It expressed hope that with the continued cooperation of all stakeholders, the efforts being undertaken by the federation would help restore the lost glory and prestige of Pakistan hockey.
The PHF reiterated its commitment to transparency and urged media outlets to verify information through official channels before publication.
