LAHORE, Dec 15 (APP): Pakistan’s duo of Rizwan Azam and Kashif Sulhari \ roared into the semi finals of the Nepal International Series Badminton Tournament, beating hosts pair of Dipesh Dhami and Ratnajit Tamang 21 16, 21 18 in Nepal on Thursday.
According to information made available here, the Pakistani pair made
short work of their ever struggling opponents with a rousing display of collective efforts and powerful smashes.
The home pair having good support from a partisan home crowd failed to match the agility and speed of the Pakistani pair, who progressed into the match with skillful game and solid defence.
Rizwan and Kashif will take on Indian players, M Anilkumar Raju and
Venkat Gaurav Prasad.
However, the unbeaten run of Rizwan Azam, Palwasha Bashir and Mahoor Shahzad in the men and women singles was halted when they were beaten in their respective matches.
Palwasha Bashir and Saima Waqas were also defeated in women doubles quarterfinal.
